Scatter T-Shirt Care: Wash & Dry Tips for Long-Lasting Print

Quick answer

Wash your Scatter T-Shirt inside out in cold water and air dry it to keep the screen print vibrant and the fabric fitting well.

Wash and dry steps for long-lasting print

1. Turn the shirt inside out: Before washing, turn the Scatter T-Shirt inside out. This protects the screen print from rubbing against other garments and the machine drum. Common mistake: washing right-side out accelerates print wear.
2. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle: Use cold water and a mild detergent. Hot water can weaken the print adhesive and shrink the cotton-poly blend. A gentle cycle reduces agitation. Checkpoint: avoid fabric softeners—they can leave a residue that dulls the print over time.
3. Air dry or tumble dry on low: Lay the shirt flat or hang it to air dry. If you must use a dryer, select the lowest heat setting and remove the shirt while still slightly damp. High heat is the fastest way to crack screen prints. Common mistake: drying on high heat causes permanent print damage and fabric shrinkage.
